All quiet on the Western Front...

It has been an exceptionally quiet summer, and I admit to getting very frustrated with the pace of developments. I either receive ‘out of office’ notifications or emails just go into the ether unanswered. But I think of Kipling’s poem ‘If’ and “fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds worth of distance run”, turning my hand to designing a brand identity, writing a website, refining the Contract to Community concept, and continuing to meet all my contacts for coffee.
However, I also reflected on how burnt-out I had been at the Chamber and so didn’t feel guilty about getting away on the boat for some much-needed R’n’R. Before you know it the pressure will be back on, so I am enjoying the quiet before the storm…
